| Nancy has done it again! |
After raising more than $10,000 for The Weymouth Food Pantry and for CarePacks in 2010, Nancy Marrapese-Burrell and her team raised more for
the Weymouth Food Pantry and Ce-Ce and Friends with their 2011-Battle of The Bars Karaoke Event on Sunday February 27, 2011. This year's event provided $4,780 for both the Weymouth Food Pantry and CeCe and Friends Humane Society.
This event, in its second year at the Weymouth Elks Lodge, was be even bigger and better than in its first year with as more than 25 contestants, as well as an all-star cast of judges. There was also be plenty of entertainment and good food.

Ce-Ce & Friends Humane Society is a non-profit, no-kill, all-volunteer cat shelter originally established in Quincy, MA. In the summer of 2005, it moved to its current location in Weymouth. The organization is named in memory of its first shelter cat, Ce-Ce.
Ce-Ce & Friends' mission is to "make a difference..one feline at a time." It provides clean, warm, loving, and safe transitional shelter. It also provides necessary veterinary care for stray, feral and abandoned cats and kittens until caring, permanent homes are found. All of its cats/kittens are examined by a veterinarian, spayed or neutered if old enough, and Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS tested, as well as vaccinated, prior to being placed for adoption.
