By the numbers:
In 2009, the Weymouth Food Pantry served a total of 5711 families representing 14,908 individuals, and average of 476 families a month. This number has grown from 409 families per month in 2007 and 451 families per month in 2008. Based on the continuing trend, we expect this number to continue to increase to more than 500 famiilies per month in 2010.

Our Facility:
In 2009, we agreed to rent space at our long-time location in the former Immaculate Conception school building. We are very grateful that this space had been provided to us for the past 18 years at no cost. While this will increase our operating expenses, this arrangement offers us some unique opportunities now that we have exclusive use and can reconfigure our space. This will make for a more welcoming atmosphere for our clients, and a more efficient environment for our volunteers and staff. These changes will be accomplished during the first quarter of 2010.
Volunteer Help:
We have a staff of slightly over 100 regular and dedicated volunteers, each of whom contributes 4 to 15 hours of work each week. Their combined efforts equaled over 12,000 hours last year, the equivalent of more than six full-time employees.
Our Supporters:
Local churches, businesses, community organizations and hundreds of individuals generously donate food, money and volunteer time and effort to keep the Food Pantry running successfully. Donation Suggestions
