Can you imagine tucking your child into bed knowing (s)he's had no supper?

Can you imagine knowing that even though you've worked hard all week, you still have to decide whether to pay the rent or buy food!

That is the reality that many families face. And that is why we need your help. In celebration of Valentine's Day, we ask you to once again look deep into your hearts and become a Friend of the Weymouth Food Pantry.

For those of you who answered our plea last year, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts and ask you to remain a Friend this year too. Each year the Pantry struggles to meet the need for food in our community and this year the need is once again at an all-time high.

With over 5,000 people in our town who live below the poverty level and over 30% of the families being the working poor, help is desperately needed. These families need your help. The elderly need your help so they don't have to decide between medicine and food. The children need  your  help to keep their bodies and minds nourished and alert. Without nourishment, their ability to learn is compromised. Let's make sure our children are given a chance to succeed.

For every dollar donated, the Pantry is able to obtain $7.00 worth of healthy and nourishing food.
